The Art District is established around the repurposing of the old Ijora Power Station, which breathes new life as an inclusive and accessible cultural hub and public space for the people of Lagos. The neighbourhood is repurposed from underutilized buildings of a bygone industrial era, swampland and vacant harbour land. The Power Station becomes the central hub of Ijora Arts District, comprising a variety of flexible multipurpose spaces for the public, corporates, and institutions to use.
