Spine Road - Commerce

Mlondolozi Hempe, Zuko Ngcizela, Mfundo Magongo

Our proposal reimagines Spine Road as a vibrant, multifunctional high street that integrates transportation, recreation, and commerce. The central median is a lush green corridor with native trees, shrubs, and flowering plants, enhancing the boulevard's aesthetic and providing ecological benefits such as reducing the urban heat island effect and improving air quality. This proposal for Spine Road creates a lively, multifunctional urban space that supports efficient transportation, enriches urban life, and fosters community engagement.
